Latin American students study ocean science
LA JOLLA – High school students from 12 Latin American countries researched ocean science, plant ecology and marine life during a two-week Summer Science Camp at the Institute of the Americas.
Twenty-two students, who received scholarships to attend the July 26-Aug. 6 camp, were selected because of their desire to conduct scientific research or work in the medical profession once they graduate from college.
