Institute facilities, on the UCSD campus, provide a beautiful setting for business, private, or academic gatherings.

Contact us for availability then complete, sign and fax a reservation request form. Make sure to read user responsibilities and requirements before signing.

Reservation Form

Copley International Conference Center
Encompasses the Hojel Hall of the Americas Auditorium, the Deutz Room, and the Arango Foyer.

Hojel Hall of the Americas Auditorium
Seats close to 300 and is graced with the flags of the nations of the Americas- a perfect location for lectures, films, musical performances, and seminars.

Deutz Conference Room

Seats up to 70 theatre-style, 35 boardroom-style. It is ideal for intimate gatherings or business meetings.

Arango Foyer
Adjacent to both the auditorium and the Deutz, this area is suitable for event registration, receptions, art exhibits for up to 150, as well as small-group lunches or dinners.

Weaver Center
Seats up to 120 theatre-style. With approximately 2,680 SF of space and almost square, the space lends itself well to small or large groups. Outside the room’s main doors is a small breezeway suitable for registration, coffee breaks, small luncheons or receptions.

Friend Plaza
Seats above 200 in round tables. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the plaza provides a warm and inviting Spanish-style location for lunch, dinners and receptions. The water fountain in the center unifies the Institute of the Americas Complex, which also houses two important Latin American Centers at the University of California, San Diego: The Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, and the Center for Iberian and Latin American Studies (CILAS).

Institute facilities are equipped with bathrooms and a kitchen suitable for professional caterers as well as booths for simultaneous interpretation.

Parking on campus requires either a UCSD-issued parking permit or short-term permit that can be purchased at self-service machines located in the front and back (right-hand side) of the Pangea parking structure (street-level) and roof level at the corner of Pangea Drive and Scholars Drive.
