For over 5 years, we have hosted an annual webinar series with monthly editions featuring discussion of key issues and developments facing the energy sector, policy and investment environment across our hemisphere. Our 2017 series included discussions of Brazil’s upstream bid round with the head of ANP, a panel discussion of the outlook for unconventional energy in Colombia and Mexico with government and industry officials, as well as updates on Mexico’s clean energy market with a CRE Commissioner, discussion of natural gas and LNG in Central America, and Venezuela’s outlook.

As with our webinars, for several years we have produced a podcast series that includes audio essays and op-eds on critical topics such as Panama and LNG, US-Mexico energy trade, as well as interviews with key energy stakeholders such as Juan Carlos Zepeda of CNH in Mexico.

Directly linked with our programs and activities across the region, we continue to produce timely reports and event summaries further assessing critical energy and sustainability topics. Most prominent was the white paper we produced this year Toward a 21st Century Energy Market: U.S.-Latin America Dialogue & Leveraging Lessons from the United States. In addition, our reports have covered a wide range of issues from a summary of our disruptors and energy transition forum in Chile to an assessment of lessons learned from Brazil’s local content policies to a discussion of Argentina’s energy outlook.

Lastly, it is never too early to make plans to join us for our annual La Jolla Conference. Please join us here in La Jolla next year on May 23-24. Each year we convene thought leaders, investors, government officials together with leading industry players in La Jolla for intense dialogue and policy debate, and take advantage of our world-renowned setting for networking. This year we’ll be rolling out a few new wrinkles that you will not want to miss. We look forward to seeing you here next May.
