We are honored to host Dr. Jon Kim Andrus of the Pan American Health Organization as he discusses public health challenges and solutions in the Americas. 
Please join us December 6 for a catered lunch session with this renowned public health expert.

Dr. Andrus is the Deputy Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), one of the premier international public health agencies.  PAHO is part of the United Nations system and works to improve health and living standards of the countries of the Americas.   The organization promotes primary health care strategies, collects data and information on health trends in the Americas, and develops recommendations for addressing major health issues in these countries.

Dr. Andrus has more than 25 years experience working in primary care and immunization programs. For 22 years he worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), principally on secondment to PAHO and to WHO’s Region of Southeast Asia (SEARO). He worked for PAHO (1989-1993) and SEARO (1993-1999) on global polio eradication programs and served as SEARO Director of Vaccines and Biologicals from 1999 to 2000.

He also holds faculty positions at University of California, San Francisco and George Washington University School of Medicine.
