Geopolitics of Energy 2016Timed to coincide with the Institute’s 25th annual La Jolla Energy Conference, participants will interact with expert presenters on a wide range of public policy themes that span the region’s energy sector. Session topics include: Climate change and implications for Latin America of the Paris Agreement; oil and natural gas prices; the role and impact of the U.S. energy revolution on global energy markets; global energy regimes and contracts and the role for government; and country case studies from across the region. The program ends with participants attending the La Jolla Energy Conference, where they will engage in high-level policy discussions and network with Latin American government officials and company representatives  This program will be offered in English.
