The virtual panel will discuss and reflect upon a recently released publication that assesses the medium and long-term trends that will affect the future of energy, with a focus on Brazil, in view of the unprecedented scenario created by the COVID-19 pandemic. The publication is a collection of articles by prominent specialists from different backgrounds, including Minister Bento Albuquerque, Brazil’s Minister of Mines and Energy. It covers topics such as the geopolitics of energy, energy transition and climate change, renewable energy, pre-salt, Brazil’s new natural gas market, opportunities in nuclear energy, and energy planning in Brazil.
