Canada’s energy outlook is undergoing an important evolution. The country is a world class hydrocarbon player and the United States’ number one supplier of foreign oil. Yet while Canada holds the world’s third largest oil reserves, 97% are contained in the unconventional oil sands. Canada’s effort to boost oil sands production and move it to market has increasingly captured the attention of policy makers and the media across North America.
Join us for a discussion with Peter MacConnachie, Sustainability Issues Manager at Suncor Energy on Canada’s efforts to balance the economic benefits of oil sands development with responding to environmental and community concerns.
MacConnachie’s presentation will be followed by an interactive question and answer session with the audience. If you are interested but unable to attend the live event, please register anyway and we will send you the recording.
