Dr. Chambouleyron has a PhD in Economics (Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin, 1995). He studied Industrial Engineering (National University of Cuyo, Mendoza, 1990) and Master in Economics (M. A., The University of Texas at Austin, 1992). He was a fellow of IMPSA in the area of Control and Production Programming (1990), Senior Economist and Chief Researcher in the Mediterranean-IERAL Foundation in the areas of Public Services Economics and Regulation (1995-2005). He served as Advisor to the Secretariat of Communications (2000-2001) and the Cabinet of the Ministry of Economy (2001), in this latter position he worked on issues related to the regulation of services and competition policies. He was a Consultant in the areas of regulation of services, antitrust and valuation (Affiliate, LECG, 1998-March 2011) and Senior Consultant in the same areas for Compass Lexecon (March 2011-December 2015). From December 2015 to January 2018, he has been the Undersecretary of Public Utility Pricing of the Government of Argentina. He currently serves as president of Argentina’s electric power regulator.
