Leigh Lyons is the Global Development Manager for Unconventional Resources with Solar Turbines Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar.
Leigh career spans over 30 years of cross-functional experience in the international upstream and midstream O&G sectors, primarily in Latin America. Leigh has performed as a Petroleum Geologist, Planning Director, VP of Corporate Development, VP of E&P, COO, Board member and as an Independent Consultant.
As Project Director in 1993, his team’s recommendations led to the successful acquisition of Gas del Estado and what is now TGN (Argentina). As COO for Gas TransBoliviano (Bolivia) in the early to mid-2000’s, he managed the capacity expansion and completion of the Bolivian section of the Bolivia-to-Brazil gas pipeline.
Leigh joined Solar Turbines in 2013 and has held various market-facing roles in New Equipment Sales, Business Development and Field Operations primarily focused on Latin America and Mexico.
Leigh graduated from The University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Earth Science and is an Alumni of Harvard Business School (Advanced Management Program 2004).
