Pablo del Río is senior researcher in the Environmental Economics Group at the Institute for Public Goods and Policies in the Consejo Superior Científicas (CSIC), the main public research centre in Spain and the third largest in Europe. He completed his Degree in Economics and Business Administration in the Autónoma University of Madrid (UAM) and holds a PhD in Economics by UAM (2002). His areas of research and interest are related to environmental economics, management, energy economics and innovation economics. He has more than 70 international publications in these areas. He has participated in 6 European-funded research projects on several topics in Environmental Economics and Energy and he is on the Executive Board of the Spanish Association for Energy Economics (AEEE). Furthermore, he has an extensive, 13-year teaching experience at the undergraduate level and he usually collaborates with several institutions in Masters related to Environmental Economics, Energy Economics and Climate Change. He was associate professor of Environmental Economics and Econometrics between 1999 and 2008 in the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha and he was Vice-dean of external relationships in this university between 2005 and 2007.
