Rosanety Barrios, Degree in Finance by the Universidad Tecnológica de México, Master in Finance by the National Autonomous University of México and Master in Economic Regulation of  Net Systems by the Barcelona University.

Rosanety developed herself in the Mexican financial sector, working for 15 years as a stock market analyst. From 2000 to 2013, she was head of the Natural Gas and LPG Transport Department at the Energy Regulatory Commission.

In 2013, she joined the Ministry of Energy as General Director of Electricity Generation, one year later, she became the first Head of the Industrial Transformation Policies Unit. From this position, she was member of the board of Cenagas (Mexico´s ISO for natural gas) and PMI Internacional.

Rosanety collaborated actively in the conformation of current Mexico´s legal framework for the Energy Sector. She was a key person for the creation of Mexico´s natural gas and oil products markets, and their storage policy.

Since December 2018, Rosanety is an independent analyst on energy matters. She is member of the board of “Voz Experta”, a very high-profile women´s collective group that promotes the visibility of women in every energy forum. Also, she is an editorial board member for energy issues of “Reforma” a national news paper and columnist at magazines Energy & Commerce and Energía Hoy.
