Mr. José Domínguez Abascal serves as an Executive President of Abengoa SA. Mr. Domínguez Abascal served as Chief Technology Officer at Abengoa SA. He served as Technical General Secretary and Engineering Vice President at Abengoa SA. He served as Assistant General Secretary of Abengoa SA. He was responsible for Abengoa’s research, development and innovation activities. He served as Technical General Secretary of Abengoa SA since 2008. He served as an Executive Chairman of Abengoa SA from September 27, 2015 to March 2016 and served as its Executive Director from September 27, 2015 to April 18, 2016. He served for four years as the General Secretary for Universities Research and Technology in the regional government of Andalusia, Spain. Additionally, he served for 22 years as a Full Professor in the Structural Engineering Department of the University of Seville, Spain. During this time, he served as a Vice-Rector (from 1990 to 1992) and Dean of Engineering (from 1993 to 1998). He serves as Director of Abeinsa Ingeniería y Construcción Industrial, S.A. and Omip – Operador Do Mercado Ibérico De Energia, S.a. He served as a Director of Telvent Git S.A since May 2008 and Operador del Mercado Ibérico de Energía – Polo Español, S.A. since February 4, 2016 until June 16, 2016. He is a member of the European Academy in the Physics and Engineering Section and a member of the Real Academy of Sciences in Seville, Spain. In 2004, he received the Spanish National Award of Investigation in Engineering, Leonardo Torres Quevedo. Mr. Abascal obtained his Mechanical Engineering degree in 1975 and his Ph.D. in 1977 both at the University of Seville. He was a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom while he worked on his Ph.D. thesis during 1976 and Postdoctoral Fulbright Scholar and Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1977 to 1978.
Bart was appointed to the position of Group Chief Operations Officer of Mainstream in 2018 where he has overall responsibility for the Group’s project development, construction and operational activities. This appointment follows his secondment to Mainstream Chile as General Manager for three years.
Previous to his appointment in Chile, Bart was Chief Operating Officer for global onshore developments in Mainstream during which time he led the development of more than 8,000MW of wind and solar projects around the world.
Prior to this, he was in charge of the Irish construction team at Airtricity, a global renewable energy company, where he led the construction of a large number of windfarms.
Bart graduated as an Electronic and Electrical Engineer from Trinity College Dublin and holds an MBA from University College Dublin. He holds PfMP, PgMP, PMP, RMP and SP certifications from the PMI and has a higher diploma in Construction Law and Contract Administration from Trinity College Dublin, and a Diploma in Executive Coaching from the Irish Management Institute.
Jaqueline is a Chemical Engineer with a specialization in Public Policy. She is currently infrastructure analyst for the Department of Natural Gas at the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
Nick is heavily involved in the development of BP’s portfolio of lower carbon businesses across a wide range of investments from advanced biofuels, electric charging to carbon trading.
Nick currently chairs the oil and gas industry association IPIECA’s climate change and adaptation task force.
In prior roles Nick established BP’s group risk function and before joining BP worked in KPMG’s energy team. Nick is a chartered accountant and holds a degree in economics from the University of Bristol.
