Leo Simonovich is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Siemens’ industrial cyber security business worldwide. He identifies emerging market trends, works with customers and Siemens businesses to provide best-in-class cyber offers, and contributes to the company’s thought leadership on the topic. He is particularly focused on solving the cyber security challenge in the O&G and power sectors by bringing unique solutions to customers looking to address a growing and costly operational security risk. He frequently speaks on such topics as cyber governance, risk management, and organizational transformation in operational environments.
Previously, Leo led the cyber risk analytics practice area at the management consulting firm, Booz Allen Hamilton. He refined his expertise through his work with large government and commercial customers to improve their cyber risk posture. While at Booz Allen, Leo created an industry recognized methodology to evaluate the financial benefits of investment in cyber security.
Leo holds both a Masters in Global Finance and a MBA from the University of Denver.
Roberta Bonomi is the Head of Brazil region for Enel Global Power Generation, Enel’s business line for energy generation from conventional and renewable sources.
Roberta joined Enel in 2005 at the CEO Office. Since 2007, she has been in charge of launching Enel University and Knowledge Management. In 2009, she became the Head of the Best Practice Sharing project, as part of Enel and Endesa’s Performance Improvement Program. Since 2011, she has also dealt with Recruiting at the Holding level.
In 2012, she became the Manager of Planning, Organization and Human Resources Development and HR manager for central technical departments and Enel Sole in the Infrastructure and Networks Division.
In 2014, she was first named Head of Health and Safety for the Enel Group and then, in October, Head of Human Resources and Organization for Enel Green Power. She has been in her current role of Head of Brazil area since September 2018.
Roberta started her career in 2001 at McKinsey & Company, performing consultancy work in strategic planning, organization and operations for major banking institutions and multinational companies.
She holds a degree in Construction Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD.
Fernando leads the Energy team at IDB Invest, where he joined in 2017. He is responsible for the development of strategies, business plans, client management and structuring of transactions in the Energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean. Before joining the IDB Group, Fernando was Managing Partner of Antuko, a firm specialized in Energy in Chile and Mexico, where he led innovative marketing structures for renewable energies. Previously, he led the Environmental Markets practice for Latin America at JP Morgan. He has more than 25 years of experience in energy markets, with an emphasis on financing energy and climate change projects. Fernando holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland (USA)
Mechthild Wörsdörfer (@MWorsdorfer) joined the IEA on 1 October 2018 as Director of Sustainability, Technology and Outlooks (STO). Ms Wörsdörfer plans and co-ordinates the IEA’s work on energy sustainability, encompassing clean energy technologies and climate change policy. Previously, Mechthild held several senior management positions in the European Commission, where she coordinated the work on the 2030 Energy and Climate Framework, the Clean Energy Package and the 2050 Energy Roadmap. She had been involved with the IEA for a number of years as IEA Governing Board Representative for the EU, and served in the Cabinet of Commissioners, in charge of industry, competitiveness, trade and digital economy.
